(omg! sorry for sounding stuck-up). But, i'm not a pretty girl in th Ani DeFranco sense. I'm usually shy when I don't know someone, it takes me a long time before i warm up. but when i do, i get crazy and quirky. though its hard to believe. I'm a ball-buster (when i like a guy). I eat like a bore although it doesn't show. i burp. I'm short and skinny. I'm a slippers and flats girl. I gladly hurl myself into open sea when I can because I love the water and I like to swim. I don't take crap from anybody. and i'm hardheaded and stubborn. i'm spoiled rotten. it takes me a long time to let everything slide. its hard for me to say i'm sorry. when i'm in a bad mood i lash it out on someone else. and i get mood swings a lot. And while I love who I am and who I'm continuing to grow into (sometimes), sometimes I can't help but feel jealous of the nice girls who seem to have it easier. While I perceive a good lot of them as bland, insipid, and boring, I have this paradigm in my head that tells me that these are the girls that guys will gladly be knights in shining armor for. Less drama. Less complications. i'm having bouts of insecurity and low low self esteem. i know that there will always be someone prettier/wittier/nicer/more interesting girls out there. but when you let it affect you, it will screw you over. it's easier to say that you don't want drama and you don't give a shit. but let's be honest here. I really wanna make it clear that drama will never end and that it'll always be a staple in our lives. The key is being able to roll with the punches well instead of pretending it doesn't exist or letting it pile up. i don't know what i'm talking about already...i know everybody has their own insecurities. but when it gets you, it sucks like a bitch!
I got a fallen eyelash from miguel's face. The ones that wishes are made out of. You trap it between two fingers then you have to guess which one it sticks on to. if it stuck to where you wanted it to be then you can make a wish. And so i did it. Well, technically the eyelash wasn't mine but he's not yet in the right age to understand how it works. So. Wishes have been one of the biggest pacifiers in my life. It's no secret that I keep to heart a lot of ridiculous superstitions. Squeezing my eyes and taking a deep breath to blow those annual candles was understandable. Then we have me knocking on wood, breaking wishbones, crossing fingers, believing in jinxes and shooting stars, and making pinky promises among most things. They're seemingly cute but you have no idea how serious I am about those things. Those were my pacifiers, the hooks that I let my hope hang onto. It was always a mystery to me why I eagerly embraced these and put my faith into it.
I myself have called my little superstitions ridiculous and I think that the thought that these things can be flawed made it easier to stomach. So what if they don't come true, you can live with that and take everything as it comes. After all, it's just a superstition. They can let you down and it'll be ok, it'll be nothing, unlike the trust you place on your parents, yourself, your boyfriend, or in God. For some reason it really hurts like a bitch when any of those things don't work out well. But that's just me. Anyway, when i told Miguel that I made a wish. he said, " can i make a wish too?" then he closed his eyes. I asked him back, "what did you wish for?" He gave me a little smirk and said, "Candy". Taken last weekend, Don Atilano..Miguel was dragging me to the fat guy like it was a tourist attraction of some sort..what an adorable kid!

  It's a late post, but who cares. Hope you all find peace and contentment, all of you who read this. And I mean it. Too many things have happened but in the midst of it all, I really wonder why sometimes things turn out the way they do...Have a good year to everyone! I PRESENT TO YOU ALL: A SAD LOVE STORY, FEATURING: JOSE AND MARIA An Illustrated Picturebook for children, and for those who remember getting their hearts broken for the first time.
Once there was a girl named Maria. She had a tendency to lose herself in her imagination sometimes, but otherwise, Maria was a good girl.
Pretty soon, Maria was finding that it was pretty lonely by herself.
"I wish I had a friend."
 Then one day, she met Jose.
"Hi."
"Hi."
 They hit it off immediately, and pretty soon the two were inseparable.
 Jose and Maria had a lot of common interests.
They listened to the same music, 
went to poetry readings together, 
and watched movies together.
Then they held hands.
"You know what, Maria?"
"What?"
"I really like you. A lot."
"Oh, wow. I really like you too. They were so in love.
But sometimes, love has a tendency to hurt.
Jose and Maria learned this the hard way. 
...They began to drift apart.
"Jose, this isn't working out."
"You don't mean-"
"Yeah. I mean, I think we need to spend time apart."
"...Oh."
And so they went their separate ways.  Maria took it pretty hard.
She couldn't remember what it was like living life without Jose.
To pass the time, she would sit in a corner and... paint.
Sometimes she would paint angry words on walls, trying to forget Jose.
But deep down in her heart, she knew she still loved him.
Jose took it pretty hard, too.
He still loved Maria, but Maria didn't want to get hurt again.
Jose made a promise to himself that one day he would be able to show Maria he really did love her.
"I still really love you, Maria."

"I wish you'd believe me."
"I do. And I still feel the same way."
"So, what now?"
"We just have to prove we're ready for each other again, is all."  In time, they found other people.
But they never ever forgot...

Love is worth it. All of it. *Nicked from an email people. thought I'd post it here* I don't think most of the people don't know that I absolutely love food. My love for food and the gasps about my weight are something that I have to discuss at least once with any friend I have, and I don't mind at all. Maybe except that one time someone in grade 3 spread a rumor that I had worms, but never mind that. I love food and I love eating it. Not making it -- which would sufficiently explain why I'm this thin and why I'm not in cooking school. Besides being born with a crazy rapid metabolism (no, no worms, no drug dependence, and no hyperthyroid problem). But hey, when I was in highschool to mid college I was a healthy little chubby kid. Really. It's actually my dream to cook. I never actually got around to learning cooking (only the basics when I was living in an apartment) because I don't like working with kitchens that I don't like. If I had a kitchen like the ones shown on the Food Network, then maybe I'll give it a try. Not to mention kickass utensils and to have the ingredients already available by my side. When I was living on my own, I always include in my budget having enough money to eat well a few times each month. Not just eat, but eat well. I want to sample as much restaurants as I can and have the power to indulge in whatever craving I have...which was a misfortune because there were only a handful of places to dine in in dumaguete. The reason why I'm writing about food is that I'm craving for something right now and I can't have it. I specifically want a good mac&cheese with the tiniest rolls of pasta or aligue pasta. I don't know what's up with the yellow theme.

No details, Sap, and Cheese....(and it's too in bad taste to post the sparkler..heh) :D I told myself last Saturday that I want to get drunk. I want to be so wasted that I'll be in a daze, I'll be slurring, I'd be staggering, and that I can escape even for just for this little while. I have memories of Mikel reiterating again and again , "Hey, I fucking deserve this, I've been working hard and you're done with your exam babe" while I was already a bit hammered, yes, only a bit. I was happy, bouncy, jumpy, and crass. Then, just when i was about to lose it, i just stopped. I got up, went up to the bar and bought mineral water. It was still early and yet I decided to prematurely sober up. Although, I constantly get glasses of vodka or a light beer the whole night care of Kuki and Mikel. Somehow I already knew what was up, and it's so hard to choose between plain, reckless fun and doing the "right" thing. If you know what i mean. I can never ever find a balance between the two, and so far everything I do feels half-assed. When I feel like I haven't maxed out on either, I feel lost. Nevermind that I'm a neurotic mess and that the voices in my head refuse to shut up. Maybe if I do find out what it is that I can do, then maybe reckless fun wouldn't crop into the picture anymore. But hey, Cebu kicked ass.
